U.S. College Student Sentenced in North Korea
We don’t fully understand in America what it would be like to live under an oppressive government. This is a sobering reminder.
Otto Warmbier is a 21 year old college student attending the University of Virginia. He was visiting North Korea with a tourism agency when he was arrested for removing a political propaganda banner from a hotel.
He pleaded for mercy and forgiveness but North Korea proceeded to sentence him to 15 years of hard labor for his crime against the state.
These are the reasons I vote. What we have in America is unique – freedom. Pray for Warmbier.
